S1mple Receives 3rd Twitch Ban, New Valorant Character, Jeff Bezos Questioned About Twitch By Congress
Once again Natus Vincere esports player Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev has been banned on twitch, for the third time, along with IGL Zeus. It’s not exactly known as to why, but we do know why s1mple was banned two times previously. Previously s1mple used a Russian homophobic slur at his teammate, which twitch quickly took action with a ban. He was again banned later on for the same actions. Now with a third ban, according to twitch ToS an account with three bans is permanently banned from the platform. However with larger creators such as popular esports players, these rules are often overlook so we will have to wait and see if its permanent or not.
S1mple is known for his more extreme comments and pushing people buttons, and has made a statement on twitch essentially memeing the situation. He called his ban a vacation, and modeled his words after the recent DrDisrespect twitch ban statement on twitter.
Twitch has not notified me on the specific reason behind their decision… Firm handshakes to all for the support during this difficult time.
While I’m enjoying my ban we can all enjoy my other streams with "great" giveaways that everyone can "easily" win

In other news Riot Games has announce that August 4th a new Valorant character will release! As previous reported from leaks, the character is named Killjoy and is an engineer of sorts. She has multiple robots that she can use to antagonize the opposing team, including a sentry bot that does damage to enemies when they are spotted.
Many players have taken to twitter to express their worries about how these abilities will ruin the game even further” but we will just have to wait and see if that actually happens. Personally I am excited to try out a new character and learn how this will affect meta at the higher level of competition. Perhaps this will be a character widely adopted by esports teams and we will see some incredible high level usage.
“Killjoy arrives in Valorant Act II,” “The latest Agent is a genius inventor that brings the chill of the Berlin nightlife and deploys her killer tech for some strong defensive impact. Outsmart your opponents or lock down an area for a stress-free Spike plant.”
Killjoy’s abilities include:
EQUIP a covert Alarmbot. FIRE to deploy a bot that hunts down enemies that get in range. After reaching its target, the bot explodes, applying Vulnerable. HOLD EQUIP to recall a deployed bot.
EQUIP a Turret. FIRE to deploy a turret that fires at enemies in a 180 degree cone. HOLD EQUIP to recall the deployed turret.
EQUIP a Nanoswarm grenade. FIRE to throw the grenade. Upon landing, the Nanoswarm goes covert. ACTIVATE the Nanoswarm to deploy a damaging swarm of nanobots.
EQUIP the Lockdown device. FIRE to deploy the device. After a long windup, the device Detains all enemies caught in the radius. The device can be destroyed by enemies.
And finally, the head of Apply, Google, Facebok, and Amazon were all summoned by congress for questioning. In a very surprising moment, Jeff Bezos is asked about twitch and the use of music on the platform without license. Jeff does not seem to know even what twitch is, let alone the answers to the questions about music usage, and commented that he would get back to the congressmen with answers.
This is very unnerving knowing that the head Amazon boss is now going to be looking into a copyright matter with one of his smaller companies, twitch. One can only imagine what could possibly happen here and we will have to wait to find out. Hopefully the platform is not shaken too hard by this situation, and everything can continue as normal, but twitch streamers will really need to start taking their music usage seriously going forward. Many already have, and we here at Game Rebel even have our own plans to solve this problem.
