Joe Rogan Says “Video games a real problem”
On the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast with Joe De Sena, Joe touched on the topic of video games and what his opinion is on that use of time.
“Video games are a real problem,” Rogan said. “They’re a real problem. You know why? Because they’re f*cking fun. You do them, and they’re real exciting, but you don’t get anywhere. You could be doing something exciting and fun, or you could just be playing f*cking video games. Three years later you could just be that same kid, playing video games, waiting for the next whatever the f*ck game is… You’re gonna waste your time.”
Listening to this podcast is a waste of time if it's all you do all day and wait for the next episode.
Generalized bad take is bad. Anything can be harmful in excess. Video games have made many people successful, they're the cause for a majority of my friendships, etc. https://t.co/j86f8VZFPU

While many from the gaming industry would disagree with Joe, I do get what he is trying to say. We’ve all seen people spend years of their life playing games and never follow any other aspirations. Time is the most valuable asset you don’t own. For someone like Joe Rogan, who has been a reality TV show host, a UFC fight announcer, comedian, and now has massive success with his podcast, I can understand his frustration with how much other sink their time into gaming.
For those seeking gaming to be their job, I have a massive respect for the hustle and wish them the best of luck. Not everyone makes it, and not everyone who puts incredible amounts of time into gaming actually pursue a career in gaming. It’s a dream job scenario, with only so much room for people to join in and financially benefit from it.
