China Bans PUBG Mobile, the #1 App in the Country
India has banned PUBG Mobile, the most popular app in India, along with 117 other Chinese apps have been banned. The statement released by the Government of India states the apps “Prejudicial to Sovereignty and integrity of India, Defense of India, Security of State and Public Order” Losing access to an entire country is a massive blow to PUBG as mobile is their biggest source of income.
As far as a length or terms to the ban, there is no information beyond the statement from India. We’ll just have to wait and see if this can be lifted.
Personally I hate to see this game banned in a country like India. I know it’s not the wealthiest country in the world, and the people of India, especially the youth, having some form of free entertainment like PUBG Mobile just sounds like an awesome thing for them to have. I’m pretty sure we will see this internet ban circumvented by the population.
